Pioneer Middle School believes competitive sports are an integral part of the school program. It attempts to provide an opportunity for all students to participate in some form of competitive athletics. A wide variety of athletic activities are offered throughout the school year. The staff and administration encourage students to participate, if at all possible, in at least one athletic program each year. Students in 7th and 8th grades must meet the Walla Walla Middle School eligibility requirements.

Registration
All 6-8th grade students must register online (see above). A physical is required before they can participate in a sport. A physician must complete the physical and sign/date the required district form. Physicals are good for two years and will be kept on file at the school in the student's confidential health file. It is recommended that appointments be made quite a bit ahead of time, as the local physicians are reporting a 2-3 month waiting period for appointments.
NOTE: If your Physical is going to expire during the sports season you are registering for, you will not be approved for practice until you get an updated physical.
